INTERVIEW

HS: Thank you for joining us ! Let’s start with something light—what’s your favorite way to unwind after a busy day?

TM: My favorite way to unwind after a busy day is to create a calming environment. I start with some relaxing music, like soft jazz or soothing worship, and pick up a good book—something that transports me to another world. I make it a point to disconnect from the busyness and focus on resetting my mind. I also love incorporating some self-care tools into my routine, like lighting a candle or using a facial roller for a little at-home spa moment. It’s the perfect way to melt the day away and find peace.

HS: You’ve had an incredible journey so far. Can you tell us about the moment you realized this was the path you wanted to take?

TM: The moment I realized this was the path I wanted to take came after one of the darkest moments in my life. It was a time when everything felt uncertain, and I was at a crossroads, feeling overwhelmed and lost. But it was in that deep, challenging season that I found the strength to win my mind and take control of my life. It was like a shift happened—something clicked, and I realized that empowerment and entrepreneurship were not just passions but my destiny. That defining moment showed me that I was meant to create, lead, and uplift others. It became clear that the journey of entrepreneurship was my way to not only heal and grow but to help others do the same. From that point on, I was determined to make an impact, and that’s when everything changed. The challenges I faced became fuel for my purpose, and I haven’t looked back since.

HS: You’ve built a strong reputation in your field. What’s one aspect of your process that might surprise people?

TM: One aspect of my process that might surprise people is that, despite what it may seem from the outside, leadership can be incredibly lonely. Life doesn’t necessarily get easier, but what I’ve found is that the mind gets stronger. Every challenge builds resilience, and I’ve learned to trust that persistence is key. There are times when I’ve had to make tough decisions or push forward when no one else understood the vision. What people don’t often see is the mental endurance it takes to keep going. It’s not about things becoming easier, but about developing the strength to handle whatever comes your way, and staying committed even when the journey feels isolating. Leadership is about being persistent, staying focused, and believing in the end goal—especially when the road is tough.

HS: You’ve had some amazing experiences along the way. What’s a highlight that really stands out to you?

TM: A highlight that really stands out to me is becoming ordained as a pastor. That moment was incredibly significant because it wasn’t just a personal achievement, but a spiritual calling that solidified my purpose in life. It marked a deep commitment to serving others, guiding people through faith, and being a source of hope and encouragement. It’s a responsibility I don’t take lightly, and it truly shifted how I approach not only my spiritual journey but also my work in entrepreneurship and empowerment. Being ordained opened doors to impact lives in ways I never imagined, and it’s been a profound part of my journey.

HS: Challenges come with the territory in any field. How do you stay motivated when things get tough?

TM: I stay motivated by staying focused on the “why” behind what I do. Challenges are inevitable in any field, but when things get tough, I remind myself of the bigger purpose—the lives I’m impacting, the communities I’m serving, and the vision I’m working toward. That “why” keeps me grounded, even when obstacles arise. It’s easy to get caught up in the day-to-day struggles, but when I realign with my deeper mission and the reason I started this journey, it gives me the strength to push through. That clarity and sense of purpose fuel my motivation, no matter how difficult the road becomes.

HS: The creative side of what you do is huge. What inspires you the most when you’re creating something new?

TM: What inspires me the most when creating something new is seeing people win and overcome challenges. There’s something deeply motivating about watching others push through adversity and come out on the other side stronger. That journey of growth and triumph is at the core of my creative process. It drives me to design solutions, build opportunities, and offer support that can help others reach their full potential. Knowing that what I create could contribute to someone’s success and help them rise above their struggles is truly my greatest source of inspiration.

HS: Collaboration seems to be key in your work. Is there anyone you’re particularly excited about working with or any dream collaborations you’d love to make happen?

TM: I’m excited about collaborating with anyone I can serve on a larger capacity. For me, it’s not about a specific individual but about the opportunity to work with people and organizations where I can make a meaningful impact. Whether it’s empowering women in real estate, supporting entrepreneurs, or uplifting communities, I’m always looking for ways to serve more and create positive change. Every collaboration has the potential to unlock something greater, and that’s what excites me the most—knowing that together, we can accomplish so much more.

HS: Let’s switch it up—what’s one fun or random fact about you that most people don’t know?

TM: One fun fact that most people don’t know about me is that I am full Guyanese, and I absolutely love my culture! From the vibrant traditions to the delicious food, being connected to my heritage is something I take great pride in. It’s a big part of who I am, and I enjoy sharing that part of my life with others whenever I can.

HS: As someone who’s been successful, what advice would you give to someone just starting out?

TM: My advice for someone just starting out is that you have to be passionate about what you do. It has to be bigger than you—driven by something deeper than just personal success. Be persistent and content, not focused on perfection or complacency. There will be challenges and setbacks, but don’t wait for everything to be perfect before you take action. Just do it! Start where you are, keep moving forward, and trust the process. Passion and persistence will take you further than anything else.

HS: Finally, what’s next for you? Are there any exciting projects or goals on the horizon that you’d like to share with our listeners?

TM: What’s next for me is all about scaling. My vision is to grow bigger, bring in more members, and ultimately make a greater impact. The more people we can reach, the more empowerment we can provide. I’m focused on expanding our network and creating even more opportunities for individuals to thrive through mentorship, education, and support. In addition to that, I’m excited about upcoming book launches and masterclasses that will be part of our initiatives. These projects are designed to equip individuals with the tools and knowledge they need to succeed. It’s all about scaling the mission so that we can empower others on a larger scale. There are definitely exciting developments on the horizon, and I can’t wait to see where this journey takes us!
