Editing Policy

At Hello Studios, we strive to deliver exceptional editing services for your podcast and video projects. To ensure clarity and mutual understanding, we’ve outlined the following editing policies:


Turnaround Time

  • Standard completion time for edits is 7-10 business days. This timeline begins once all necessary materials and details are received.
  • Delays in feedback or submission of required files may result in extended delivery times.

Feedback Deadlines

  • Feedback is crucial for a smooth editing process. We require you to provide feedback within 24-48 hours of receiving a draft. Failure to respond within this window may delay the overall timeline.
  • If you do not respond for 30 days, we will consider the project complete and close the file.

Editing Rounds

  • Each project includes two rounds of editing:
    1. Initial draft with requested changes.
    2. Final round for fine-tuning.
  • To make the most of these rounds, ensure your feedback is consolidated and detailed.

Feedback Submission

  • All edit feedback must be notated in Dropbox Replay. We do not accept edits over the phone, text, or email. There are no exceptions to this policy.

Final Delivery

  • Completed projects are delivered via a secure Dropbox folder.
  • You will have 7 days to download your files. If additional time is needed, extended file hosting is available for $25 per month.

External Files

  • If your project was not recorded in our studio, you must provide a link where we can securely download the required files.

Communication Tools

  • We use Dropbox Replay for collaborative feedback. This tool enables you to:
    • Add time-stamped comments.
    • Highlight specific moments for edits.

Content Additions

  • During the editing process, we can include elements such as:
    • Intro and outro segments.
    • Lower thirds (on-screen text).
    • B-roll footage and images.
    • Other custom requests (based on availability and feasibility).

Non-Responsive Policy

  • If you fail to respond for 30 days, your project will be considered complete and no further changes will be accepted.

Refunds and Cancellations

  • Refunds or cancellations are not available once editing has begun.
  • If technical or unforeseen issues arise on our end, we will work with you to resolve them promptly.
