Autopay & Billing Policy

Key Takeaways

How automatic payments (autopay) and billing work at Hello Studios — memberships bill automatically; one-time sessions are charged when you book.

This policy explains how billing and automatic payments (autopay) work at Hello Studios, so there are never any surprises. By starting a membership, you agree to the terms below.

Autopay is required for memberships

All Hello Studios memberships are billed automatically. To keep an active membership, you must have a valid payment method (credit or debit card) securely on file. Your card is charged automatically each billing cycle—you don’t need to do anything to stay active.

When you’re billed

  • Initial payment: You’re charged immediately when you sign up. This activates your membership and credits from day one.
  • Recurring payments: Your membership renews automatically on the same date each cycle (monthly or annually, based on the plan you chose at sign-up). Your credits refresh at the start of each new cycle.
  • One-time recording sessions: Paid in full at the time of booking—the session fee is charged immediately when your booking is confirmed. One-time sessions are never placed on autopay.
  • Add-ons & overages: Extra services (additional storage, extra credits, and similar) are charged at the time of purchase.

Your payment method

You can add, update, or replace your payment method at any time from your account. If your card is expiring or has changed, please update it before your next billing date to avoid a failed payment.

You may remove a card at any time, but an active membership must always have at least one valid payment method on file. If you remove your only card, we’ll ask you to add a new one to keep your membership active.

If a payment fails

If we’re unable to charge the card on file, we’ll email you and try again. Then:

  • 48 hours past due: a $25 late fee is added to your account.
  • 30 days past due: your membership is automatically canceled and stored files are removed.

See our Late Payment Policy for full details.

Minimum commitment

Memberships include a 3-month minimum commitment. If you cancel—or a payment fails—before you’ve completed those 3 months, the remaining balance of your term may be charged, per our 3-Month Commitment and Late Payment policies.

Turning off autopay / canceling

The only way to stop autopay is to cancel your membership. To cancel, email [email protected] at least 7 days before your next billing date (see our Membership Cancellation Policy).
